Some frequently asked questions

What do I wear?

Come as you are. Whether you feel most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, shorts, a skirt, or slacks, at CIV you will find people like you.

What about my kids?

We strive to provide safe, high-quality programs that kids love. While you relax in the worship service, your kids will have a blast. In fact, many kids have so much fun they are somewhat reluctant to leave.  For Middle School and High School students, we offer relevant role models, practical teaching, and fun activities that help them connect with other students and grow in their relationship with God.  Check out Kid’s Information for more details.

How long are your services?

Services start on time and last one hour. You may enjoy taking some additional time to meet friendly people or learn about opportunities in the foyer. You may also just want to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the view from the Diamond Bar Center.

Will I be singled out?

  • Everyone at CIV is greeted and treated the same. We want to welcome you as our guest, but we don’t want to invade your space. You will see a place to get a nametag, but everyone wears one so you won’t stand out.
  • During the service you’ll be invited to fill out a Connection Card (just like our members do each week) and you only need to give us information you feel comfortable with.
  • You will also have the opportunity after the service to pick up a free gift from us in the foyer of the ballroom. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks for coming” with no strings attached!
